"To understand where we are in today's world -- in our intellectual ideas and in our cultural and political lives -- we must trace three lines in history, namely, the philosophic, the scientific, and the religious."
(Francis Schaeffer, L'Abri Fellowship)

Student Meetings:
May we help your ministry?
Are you in Dunedin? Is your student group looking for teaching resources? Why not borrow one of our 'Great Teaching Series' from our Video / DVD Library.
Would you like to join one of our study groups?
All of the courses and meetings at the Study Centre are open to students, but we have meetings especially for tertiary students. The meetings fall in semester times and take the form of a study followed by discussion. These meetings are open to Christians and those who would like to think more deeply about the Christian answers to the questions and issues of life and eternity. We generally use video teaching by noted teachers and authors as a basis for the meeting.
If you would like to come along to such a meeting we'd be very pleased to hear from you.
Some examples of studies:
Studies in the Gospel of John: John's Gospel was written with the specific purpose that Jesus might be shown to be the Christ, the long expected Messiah, and in coming to know Him as such people would enter into the spirtual life that God gives through Him. In these four addresses by Professor Don Carson we take an in-depth look at the nature and claims of Jesus and the implications these have for our lives. Dr Carson looks at: (1) Jesus - The Word of God (2) Jesus and the New Birth (3) Jesus - the Bread of Life (4) Jesus - the Resurrection and the Life
How Should We Then Live?: The Rise and Decline of Western Thought and Culture: A fascinating 5-hour documentary series presented by Dr Francis Schaeffer. (The book above is a more full version of the film). More information can be found about Dr Schaeffer at the L'Abri Fellowship website.
